Breast Cancer BaddieCon 2026 Concludes Powerful Weekend in Atlanta, Redefining Survivorship for Women of Color
ATLANTA, GA (May 2026) — For the Breast of Us successfully concluded Breast Cancer BaddieCon 2026: Survivorship Reimagined, a transformative four-day experience held May 14th–17th at the Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort. The convening brought together survivors, advocates, healthcare professionals, sponsors, and community leaders from across the country to center healing, advocacy, education, and joy for Women of Color impacted by breast cancer.
More than a conference, Breast Cancer BaddieCon continued its mission of redefining what survivorship looks and feels like by creating intentional spaces where Women of Color were seen, supported and empowered through authentic storytelling, wellness experiences, community building, and critical conversations surrounding healthcare disparities.
Throughout the weekend, attendees participated in:
- Thought-provoking panels and fireside conversations
- Healing and wellness-centered programming
- Advocacy and education sessions
- Community-building experiences
- Moments designed to celebrate softness, resilience, identity, and joy in survivorship
The event highlighted the realities many Women of Color face throughout the cancer continuum while emphasizing the importance of culturally relevant support systems and equitable healthcare conversations.
“Breast Cancer BaddieCon: Survivorship Reimagined centers the lived experiences of Women of Color impacted by breast cancer. It creates space for conversations often missing from traditional survivorship spaces while prioritizing healing, connection, and celebration.”
— Marissa Thomas, Co-Founder & CEO, For the Breast of Us

This year’s conference further strengthened the organization’s commitment to its core pillars: Advocacy, Community, and Education, while creating an atmosphere where survivorship was celebrated beyond diagnosis and treatment.
Attendees experienced a weekend rooted in:
- Empowerment through shared experiences
- Access to trusted resources and education
- Meaningful connections with fellow survivors and advocates
- Opportunities for healing and personal restoration
- Visibility for the unique experiences of Women of Color navigating breast cancer
The impact of Breast Cancer BaddieCon 2026 was made possible through the continued support of sponsors, including Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Novartis, Exact Sciences (now Abbott), and Daiichi Sankyo whose partnership helped amplify resources and experiences designed specifically for this community. We also want to send a special thank you to Black Girl Vitamins for donating products.

As momentum from the weekend continues, For the Breast of Us remains committed to expanding conversations around survivorship, increasing access to culturally responsive resources, and building spaces where Women of Color can thrive beyond diagnosis.
Breast Cancer BaddieCon 2026 reinforced one clear message: survivorship deserves advocacy, community, softness, joy, and celebration.
