Founders Jay and Ernestine Morrison and the Tulsa Real Estate Fund Hosts Historic 5-Day Grand Opening of The Legacy Center, an Economic Empowerment Hub with Mayor of East Point, 1,000+ Community Supporters, Celebrity Friends, Investment Partners and More
The state-of-the-art Legacy Center aka “The Black House” is owned free and clear by more than 9,600 community investment partners and located in the heart of East Point, Georgia’s Opportunity Zone
Opening Festivities for phase one of The Legacy Center also known as The Black House kicked-off on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. The Grand Opening Celebration included
remarks by Investor, Activist Tamika Mallory. Commemorating the 6th Anniversary of the Jay Morrison Academy, graduates shared their experiences of working and growing under Jay Morrison’s tutelage. A bevy of East Point City Council members and South Fulton Chamber of Commerce were all on hand to support this community endeavor. Dr. Jamal H. Bryant, Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church blessed the historic grounds with a soul stirring prayer on which The Legacy Center followed by the raising of the Tulsa Real Estate Fund Flag. East Point’s Mayor Deana Holiday Ingraham presented Jay and Ernestine Morrison with a Proclamation from the city and declared January 8 as “Legacy Center Day”.
“The Legacy Center exists to bridge the generational wealth gap and will provide mentorship programs, and premium educational services. Our goal is to not only house your business, but to provide empowerment and cultivate your legacy. We are committed to helping our community define, build and grow. Our Legacy Starts here at The Legacy Center,” said founder Jay Morrison.
Thousands of men, women, and children from all walks of life came to East Point eager to participate in the historic 5-Day Grand Opening of The Legacy Center. The programming provided the opportunity for all to learn, network, and celebrate the community empowering Legacy Center. Grand Opening week had something for everyone from the guided tours of the 30 square foot facility to the free financial gameplans from the qualified wealth advisors and more.
Co-Founder and Wealth Education Expert Jay Morrison led 3 life-changing master classes which included the Flip Your Taxes Masterclass, Life Insurance & Net Worth Masterclass, and the signature Corner Class. Evening programs included a motivating Vision Board Party hosted by founders Jay and Ernestine Morrison. The All Black Kickback at the Black House with music by Bryan Michael Cox, 9 time Grammy Award Winner was the attendees favorite event. The Grand Opening Festivities ended with a Brunch & Ball and attendees sharing moments that mattered most to them from the week and tangible legacy building strategies they are looking forward to implementing.
